I find  my hour long drive, to and from work to be utterly excruciating.  What a waste of time, considering I already have SO many other things on my plate.

I was tiring of the music on my iPod, and had to take the long way home because the highways made me anxious.   However, once the idea hit me that I should listen to audio books along the way, I have become much more settled, and actually look forward to the drive.

One of the books that helped me calm down while driving was Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life, by Wayne Dyer.

Dr. Dyer is both a speaker AND a writer.  Some philosophical/ positive psychologists are great writers, but it’s torture listening to them speak in an audio book because they’re so monotonous.  I love listening to Wayne Dyer because he sounds so friendly, like the book is a conversation.  I feel like I can be friends with him, even.

Not to mention how inspired I am by his accomplishments.  *I* want to be able to write like him.  Maybe not speak, so much, though that doesn’t bother me…
