For What You Wish
By Ash Brones | August 11th, 2009 | Category: Featured Content, Mind | No Comments »Here is a little secret:
Your life can be anything you want it to be.
For a huge clump of folks, this sounds like a great big lie. You’ll rebutt, “But I can’t just quit my job! I have bills to pay! I can’t just do some sort of Hocus Pocus mojo and turn my spouse into a Hot Blonde! The credit card companies won’t just STOP calling me, now will they?!” And on and on and on…
Those of you who are inclined to respond that way… well, you can either hush yourself or you can find something else on the interwebs that titillates your interest more than this post will. For the rest of us, let’s go ahead and sit back, put on our dreaming goggles, and enjoy the ride.
Imagine the most amazing lifestyle you can come up with. What does it look like? Who plays the other roles? What role do YOU play? What do you do with your time?
I’m going to tell you a little bit about my dream life! You know, to get your juices flowing.
I spend most of my day doing the things I love. Gardening, walking, talking, writing, being active, arts and crafts, teaching the kids new stuff, and reading. I get plenty of sleep every night, and have ample amount of energy to prepare healthful food for myself every day. I can comfortably afford whatever needs I have, which are few. I spend a huge majority of my time with my partner, and he and I thrive off of each other’s company. For work, I write. Books, self-help programs, motivational speeches, newsletters, and copy-writing, to name just a few.
We live in a secluded castle in the mountains. Our home is 100% green and self sustained, and we have enough land to farm on. We have a small collection of farm animals, and a tall rock wall around the perimeter. The castle has a green house, a huge library, a massive kitchen, and enough room for our guests to stay for a while, comfortably. Once a month, we hold seminars that focus on natural health and healing, meditation, and psychological wellness. We teach folks how to eat properly, how to care for themselves physically, and teach new ways on changing the unsuccessful thoughts that prevent them from living happily.
This is heaven.
So what is keeping me from my dreams? What is between myself and this future I have imagined so clearly?
The answer is Time and Action. Time, because with it, all things eventually come to fruition. All hopes and dreams and goals come from its passing. It is inevitable. Time is the difference between the thought and the end goal.
Action, because you must take the appropriate steps to prepare for the dreams for which you wish. You can’t just snap your fingers and make things happen Right!! This!! Instant!! No, you must actually put into motion the things that you desire.
Time and Action. And thought. You must be able to dream it in order for it to happen. Otherwise, you’re just flying by the seat of your pants. Which isn’t all bad, it’s just that you might end up with something you didn’t necessarily expect.
So what do you dream for?
Since your life can be anything that you wish, what do you wish for?
